ISO 50001:2011, Energy management system is an International norm developed by ISO (International Organisation for Standardization), addressed to all types of companies, regardless their size, sector, geographic location.
ISO 50001 acts following the Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle, and establishes a set of requirements for the fulfilment of energy politics with concrete objectives such as measures for reducing and controlling the energy consumption, verification of savings, design of continuous improving interventions.
The certification permits to:
- Analyse energy consumption
- Improve performances
- Promote better behaviour practices
- Reduce greenhouse gas emissions and CO2, optimizing environment performance in the limits established by law.
